Civic Engagement

• Talk to folks you know about the election. All the municipalities in Ontario have elections at the same time, so if the person is a Canadian citizen, over 18, and lives in Ontario, they can vote.
• Find information from your town office. Each town has information on how to vote, when to vote, and where to vote. For municipalities that are conducting the election online, you should be mailed a PIN number soon if you haven't received it already. for prospective candidates on their websites.
• Wear and share our get out the vote stickers!
• Attend your all-candidates meetings, invite your neighbours to come with you, and ask questions. 
• Talk to your candidates! Email them, phone them, message them on social media. Find out what they think about the issues.
• Host a meeting and invite a candidate or two. Invite a small group of your neighbours, friends and family, and have in-depth conversations with the people who may represent you on council come October. 
• Follow, like, and comment on our socials
• Volunteer to support someone who is running. Most candidates could use a little help. This could mean door-knocking, but it could also mean childcare or social media monitoring, or developing spreadsheets. Whatever your gifts are, they may be helpful to someone running a campaign!
