Why you might want to consider taking this opportunity Volunteers build a connection with clients during this program. It is a relaxed atmosphere with no pressure from clients or volunteers.

The program is only on Thursday mornings from 9-12:30. Also, volunteers are on a schedule rotation, and so do not need to commit to every week.

Volunteers have the opportunity to impact the lives of clients in a positive manner. Volunteers also have the opportunity to learn from clients.

Volunteer type position is suitable for - Adult (18 +)
Duties / Roles / Activities Volunteers are important members of our Meet and Greet team.
Volunteers take turns providing snacks for program and make tea/coffee for clients. Volunteers participate in activities with clients (board games, card games, etc.).
Volunteers participate in an open sharing activity with clients.
Every second Thursday there is a guest speaker and every last Thursday is a lunch program that Volunteers are welcome to participate in.
Sample Tasks: Volunteers will:
participate in interactions such as talking and listening
make tea/coffee for clients
set-up and participate in games/activities
provide snacks (according to schedule)
set-up program area at start of program
Who You'll Be Interacting With Clients who are living with a life-limiting illness, volunteers, staff.
